About Sree Veera Hanuman Temple

The People's Temple

A sanctuary shaped by devotion and service.

Sree Veera Hanuman Temple was established to nurture devotion to Lord Hanuman and to provide a spiritual sanctuary for devotees across the region. Rooted in courage, humility and seva, the temple welcomes every visitor into a living tradition of worship and community.

Through the seeds of time

More than a century of faith

Over a hundred years ago, South Indian labourers carved a life in Brickfields while building railways, clearing land and serving a growing Kuala Lumpur. Their refuge was a humble hut-temple near the Klang River, dedicated to Hanuman and Muniswaran.

When progress required the shrine to move, devotees carried their faith forward. Brick by brick and through decades of seva, the People's Temple took form at Jalan Scott - an expression of classical Indian temple architecture built through the love and labour of the community.

Our Vision

To inspire devotion through daily worship, preserve Sanatana Dharma traditions and foster a compassionate community anchored in the teachings of Lord Hanuman.

Priests & Seva Team

Dedicated priests conduct daily rituals with care, while the seva team supports festivals, cultural programmes, Annadanam and outreach.

Temple Facilities

Sacred shrines, a prasadam and Annadanam area, facilities for homams and special rituals, and spaces for satsang and spiritual study.

"At the heart of this phenomenal world, bhakti is born. Within all its changing forms dwells the unchanging Lord."

- Temple President
